Homeless Prevention Program Assistant/ HMIS Specialist


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
 Enter Intake and Exit client data into the Homeless Management Information System
(HMIS) computer system.
 Assist in the quality assurance and oversight of customer data entry. Uses HMIS/ART data
entry system to pull reports of program statistics. Develop a comprehensive understanding
of HMIS/ART.
 Attend HMIS User meetings and Continuous Quality Improvement meetings and share
information with HPP staff.
 Assist Program Manager with reports, data clean-up, and record keeping as needed. Assist
with disseminating other resources and information to HPP customers.
 Support program activities including coordinating translation of materials.
 Support HPP team to plan and execute customer engagement.
 Provide office management support for office including interfacing with operations staff to
ensure smooth operations of office functions.
 Ensure data quality in reports and other documents.
 Enforce established program rules and regulations.
 Assist HPP team with concerns requiring resolution or follow up.
 Other related duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, one-two years of data entry experience.
 Highly organized with attention to detail.
 Strong data analysis skills a must.
 Ability to work independently and as a team member; Ability to take direction and to be
self-critical to improve performance.
 Good communication skills.
 Very strong computer skills required including very strong Microsoft Office, especially
Excel, and Internet browser software skills.
 Preferred Experience with HMIS data or equivalent performance data systems preferred.
