School- Based Program Manager


Duties and Responsibilities:    

  • Must be able to drive with a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation
  • Must be able to answer a phone to receive referrals, and assess the appropriateness of placement for the SCHOOL-BASED PROGRAM
  • Must be able to carry and answer a phone to provide crisis intervention as needed
  • Must be able to work on a computer to develop and implement treatment plans and other required documents
  • Must be able to use a fax, copier, or scanner to receive and forward required documents
  • Must be able to verbally present to the network of providers
  • Must be able to read and interpret program standards and ensure compliance to standards through SCHOOL-BASED PROGRAM Clinicians
  • Must be able to read and interpret reports, service plans, psychological and other clinical documentation to assess the needs of a client and assist supervisors and Clinicians in providing needed services
  • Must be able to verbally communicate with referral sources, network providers and the team; Read, interpret reports, service plans, psychological and other clinical documentation to coordinate services as necessary
  • Must be able to coordinate staff meetings and provide regular supervision with the SCHOOL-BASED PROGRAM Clinical Supervisors to assist in communicating and problem solving
  • Must be the liaison with the school team to facilitate transparent communication and foster collaboration between all members of the school team including families
  • Monitor coordination of services to ensure that the multi-tiered components of the program are being implemented and altered as appropriate
  • Must be able to ensure that staff complete accurate recordings of services and behaviors in the client clinical record and that they are turned in on due date
  • Must be able to ensure client records in compliance with MBI, DC and Federal Regulatory guidelines
  • Must be able to oversee the implementation, collection and reporting of all data points on a monthly basis as required by the SCHOOL-BASED PROGRAM through either iCAMS, Credible or an alternative database, such as an excel spreadsheet
  • Must be able to utilize databases to manage Flexible Spending funds, track all reported expenditures and report information on a monthly basis, or as requested to DBH
  • Must be able to model for Supervisors and give guidance in regards to working with families, consumers, professionals, network providers and stakeholders
  • Responsible for ensuring all SCHOOL-BASED PROGRAM Clinicians are trained in the appropriate models and therapy modalities by engaging in direct training and supervision
  • Must be able to verbally communicate and coordinate with consultants to provide oversight to the implementation of the model
  • Provides orientation and training to the SCHOOL-BASED PROGRAM Clinicians and Supervisors to ensure the provision a sound and integrated program. Monitor, supervise and support team to ensure compliance with all regulatory and facility standards
  • Provides assistance and coverage for program staff to ensure all clients receive required services
  • Conducts regular staff meetings to clearly communicate program objectives and goals
  • Performs all required duties of an MBI Manager to include documentation of performance issues, completion of staff evaluations and recruitment and selection of new staff. 

     

     Qualifications:          

     

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Professional Counseling or Medicine with licensure as a Clinical Psychologist, Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker, Professional Counselor, or Psychiatrist in the District of Columbia
  • LICSW or LPC preferred
  • 2 or more years of direct clinical experience in a mental health setting working with children, adolescents or adults
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Must possess knowledge, skills and abilities in the area of family dynamics; crisis intervention skills; skills in clinical supervision of licensed and non-licensed therapists
  •  Ability to work well under pressure and under short deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple cases concurrently
  • Reasonable administrative and coordination skills
  • Understanding of mental health care service delivery
  • Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work autonomously with little or no direction
