Mr. Herbert Boyd, has over 30 years of experience in senior positions in behavioral health. He previously served as Clinical Director/Chief of Compliance and Quality Improvement at Universal Healthcare Management Services, Washington, D.C. In that capacity, he was responsible for organizing, staffing, and directing day-to-day operation of a core service agency that provides a range of behavioral and community support services to children, youth, adults and their families. He also provided progressive leadership for 52 Community Support Workers, 18 licensed clinicians and 11 administrative staff. Mr. Boyd has developed and implemented internal systems to make clinical and administrative functions more efficient.
Prior to that, Mr. Boyd served as Senior Clinical Supervisor at The Martin Pollack Group, Inc., Washington, D.C. where he was responsible for program planning, directing and supervision of licensed social workers in a community-based foster care program in the District.
Mr. Boyd’s vast work experience also includes serving as Division Manager of Behavioral Health Services at the Chartered Health Managed Care Organization. As the Division Manager, he oversaw collaborative processes including planning, facilitating and advocacy in the interest of the healthcare needs of clients. Objectives were met through systemic communications and utilization of resources to promote quality cost effective outcomes related to behavioral health conditions. He researched and developed programs to maintain support networks for the indigent populations serviced by the managed care organization.
Mr. Boyd is certified Master Trainer in ‘Chronic Disease Management’ – Stanford University Education. He is also a Graduate of The Institute for Educational Leadership. His awards include: Commendation as “Dynamic Resource Person” by the D.C. Metropolitan Police.
