Biography
Mr. Crews is a behavioral health expert with over 30 years of industry experience. He has been involved in extensive research in behavioral health issues, and in the planning and implementation of breakthrough programs that have yielded positive outcomes for behavioral health consumers across the DC Metropolitan area. For over 20 years, Mr. Crews served as Provider Specialist, and later as Lead Provider Specialist at the D.C. Department of Behavioral Health. He is a passionate advocate for behavioral health consumers in the District, and is widely known for his uncompromising stand against unsatisfactory service delivery by providers. Mr. Crews has been involved in re-entry programs in the District, and he was very instrumental in the introduction of the Adult Day Treatment Program at MBI. That program’s consumers include re-entry consumers. He has direct oversight on MBI’s provider and community relations. Mr. Crews is also very familiar with the various regulations governing correctional heath care in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area.
